For university and college teaching teams
Azure Lab Services Migration Planner
Turn one module’s requirements into a practical migration brief. Record what you need, see what to test and take a clear brief to your IT team or a Cloud Pulse pilot discussion.
No email required. Your answers stay in this page until you choose to send a pilot enquiry. Download your brief before leaving or refreshing.
Azure Lab Services retires on 28 June 2027. Plan a tested replacement and offboarding before that date, including any teaching that runs across it. Microsoft’s retirement guidance
This is a planning checklist, not a compatibility assessment or migration commitment. Cloud Pulse suitability, image reuse, Windows editions, licensing, identity, recovery and network requirements need individual scoping and testing. Microsoft’s listed alternatives are covered in the comparison guide; Cloud Pulse is Education Host’s separate offering.
What does the migration planner produce?
A requirements summary, timing flags, technical checks and a suggested pilot sequence. You can download the brief without providing an email address or include it in a Cloud Pulse pilot enquiry.
Does a completed plan confirm Cloud Pulse compatibility?
No. The planner identifies what to test. Operating systems, software licensing, image reuse, identity, networking, student work and recovery need scoping and a representative pilot before a replacement decision.
Are my requirements sent to Education Host or Google Analytics?
Planner answers stay in the page until you choose to submit the pilot form. With analytics consent, completion and accepted enquiry events contain fixed categories, not your answers or contact details. Refreshing or leaving clears the working plan; download a copy to keep it.
Is a Cloud Pulse pilot free?
The initial scoping conversation is free. Pilot duration, capacity, charges, software licensing responsibilities and support are agreed individually before a pilot starts.
