Case studies — frequently asked questions
Answers to common questions about the organisations Education Host supports and the projects we deliver.
What kind of organisations does Education Host support?+
Education Host supports universities, colleges, schools and wider education organisations — the case studies on this page include two universities, an academic research team, a primary school, a museum's heritage education project and a therapeutic alternative-education provider.
Does Education Host work with universities and colleges?+
Yes. Education Host works with universities and colleges on student web hosting, teaching platforms and managed infrastructure — including Atlantic Technological University, Canterbury Christ Church University and Arden University.
Does Education Host work with schools?+
Yes. Education Host supports schools with web hosting, SSL and secure migrations — as in the Pedmore CE Primary School case study — and builds Cover Manager, our school cover management platform.
What types of projects are shown in these case studies?+
Student web hosting platforms, fully managed web hosting, managed research hosting for an academic web application, SSL and secure website migrations, Microsoft 365 deployment and IT support, and specialist digital projects such as managed Minecraft hosting for a heritage education programme.
Can Education Host support student web hosting at scale?+
Yes. The case studies on this page describe student hosting delivered for large cohorts — including up to 1,200 student accounts — and this work is delivered today through Student Web Host Manager, our governed student hosting platform.
Can Education Host provide managed infrastructure?+
Yes. Education Host provides managed hosting, monitoring, backups, patching and infrastructure support for education platforms, delivered from a Tier III-aligned UK data-centre facility.
Can Education Host help with migrations?+
Yes. Case studies on this page include a school website migration completed outside working hours with no disruption, and an email migration from an IMAP server to Exchange 365 including historic mail.
Are all listed organisations current customers?+
No. Some case studies describe current relationships and some describe previous projects delivered by Education Host. They are included to show the range of education-focused work we have delivered.
Why is one case study anonymous?+
The managed research hosting case study is published anonymously at the customer's request. The project, requirements, outcomes and quote are real, but the researcher, institution and project details are deliberately not named.
How do we start a project with Education Host?+
Book a consultation through the Education Host website. We'll talk through what your institution needs, scope the right platform or service, and agree a plan — from student hosting pilots to managed infrastructure and migrations.
